What he said
« Big Mac's HOF Chances in Jeopardy? | Main | Age-Defying Makeup? »USS Mariner has a good post about steriods in baseball.
I got into an argument about this once, and it ended with the guy saying "You can't honestly believe that McGuire didn't do steroids?". That's the kind of discussion we're in here. There's no proof and circumstantial evidence at best, but we're surrounded by people saying "C'mon" mistaking the vehemance of their belief for fact.

If people had to back up all their arguments with facts about 90% of blogs would shut down. Oh, and so would "I'm the loudest so I'm right" sports radio.
No wonder why well-thought-out points and factual data to back up opinions, present on a few quality blogs like this one, are so well received. Quality is valued.
Posted by: Flynn at February 15, 2005 05:49 PMIt's strange to me that this is such a big story. One group of fans has claimed that they knew all along. A big hunk of the rest have made it clear that it's at most a secondary issue to them. I know baseball's records are dear to many, but geez, Richard Clarke's Al Qaida memo isn't getting this much play.
How many days until pitchers and catcher report?
Posted by: Rob at February 15, 2005 08:11 PMRob: Two days to go as of today (2/16) for the Cardinals, according to my countdown clock.
I believe Lee Sinins reported that some pitchers and catchers reported yesterday (Yankees, Nationals and Reds).
