I had work to do, so I turned off the TV after Isringhausen gave up the insurance run. So is this some sort of elaborate joke?

Yeah... wow. I figured they'd lost too until I got a celebratory phone call about it. So I had to hustle home to be able to see it on Baseball Tonight. Wow. Wow, wow, wow.

I got home at 4:35 or so (Eastern), in time to see the Cards losing 3-1, ending the top of the 9th. I plop down on the couch with a sore back and start watching the bottom half, and hear Nunez, Taguchi, Luna??? Nunez reaches. Alright, they'll still lose. Taguchi singles. The baseball gods are laughing at me, giving them just enough of a chance and then take it away. That silly Luna infield single, then the out by Seabol. Ah, perfect time for a double play.

Grand Slammeh! I was hysterical.
