Marko whatnow? I looked it up on wikipedia, and still couldn't make much sense of it. Sounds like a state diagram, which I remember studying in college, where the next state was determined by the current state plus some input value. Is that about right?

I like that Hector got on base, thus basically forcing the Pirates to pitch to Pujols. Intentionally walking the winning run to 3rd base would've been a hell of a gutsy play.
