Why?

The stakes were high enough tonight, that this had a playoff-caliber tension. Unfortunately it's turning into Game 5 of the 2000 NLCS, with Mulder playing a strange version of Ankiel. Unless the point of this exercise was to humiliate Mark Mulder, what happened tonight made no sense. Tony LaRussa, Dave Duncan and anyone else involved with this decision should be ashamed of themselves.

Dad is driving 8 hours today to meet me in CT for our annual trek to a game in NY tonight. My first time seeing the Redbirds live. I hope that they are in fact alive and breathing. We'll have to put up with all the Metropolitans yelling about sweep stuff. Sounds like fun, huh. Yippee.

Geez, driving 8 hours and putting up with Mets fans to watch Marquis pitch? You all are real fans.

The sleeping giant (our offense) awakes for 15 runs in two games, and we're 0-2.

Are we due for Good Jason or Bad Jason tonight? I haven't been able to figure it out.

I was up there too - about 8 hours round trip myself, for that?!? Ugh.

Next 12 games against crappy teams we SHOULD take care of business against = huge.
